A new edition of ACHEMA, the most important fair in the world within the chemical, pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, has been celebrated this month of June.
As we announced, our principals Bosch, IWT, Lytzen and Sterisys have participated with own stands at the fair.
The Bosch holding, of which Netsteril represents the divisions dedicated to sterilization, water and process technology, had its stand in Hall 3.1. Bosch Pharmatec exhibited its already successful MWF system, the WFI cold water generation solution from which they have sold more than 10 units since they launched last year. In this fair, we strengthened ties with managers from Bosch companies represented by us and both parties agreed that our collaboration agreement has been a success since it has given its first fruits in Spain.
“With the change of regulations, Bosch confirms the success in Europe of the launching of its MWFI, the range of equipment for the cold generation of WFI by using membrane technology, energetically much more efficient.”
On the other hand, IWT and Sterisys were also in the same Hall 3.1.
IWT displayed at the fair its GMP washing machine model W280, an equipment designed exclusively to cover the cleaning needs of product contact parts or machinery components. We noticed the high quality of the finishes as well as its compact and ergonomic design that has made it a benchmark in its category. In addition, IWT presented its new series 2Clean, an innovative washing machine that combines the characteristics of a washing equipment for IBCs or bins with the one described above for product contact parts. This unit is destined to become a new flagship product of the company as there is a real need to find flexible solutions to solve the cleaning needs in pharma.
“2Clean is the IWT machine called to revolutionize the market, capable of cleaning and disinfecting production tanks or bins as well as product contact parts; it is a flexible and cost-effective two-in-one solution”
As far as Sterisys is concerned, this company presented its innovative system of palletizing tubs with pre-filled syringes. It is a logistics solution that allows the transfer or transport of syringes in a safe and gentle manner to different points of use; filling, inspection, labelling, etc.
“LEAN MANUFACTURING processes require the implementation of logistic solutions with automatic handling and palletization systems, as the one introduced by STERISYS for prefilled syringes in tubs. The great interest shown during the fair shows that Pharmaceutical Industry is entering in the era of Industry 4.0, in which robotics are replacing non-qualified workers to carry out boring tasks.”
Finally, we visited the Lytzen booth in Hall 6.1.
Lytzen also presented novelties, specifically a new series of GMP ovens for small quantities that will be highly appreciated by companies with small production lots, especially in the biotech sector or in plants production pilot for clinical trials.
“Lytzen has introduced its new range of depyrogenation ovens designed for small GMP productions. This market nich was indeed not very well covered by suppliers. It was not easy to find small batch equipment that would allow to comply with GMP requirements at a reasonable cost.”
We’ll tell you soon more news related to ACHEMA 2018. We can only anticipate that we are discussing a collaboration or representative agreement with an important supplier of filling lines for vials and nested prefilled syringes. We’ll keep you up-to-date!
